WTA Led Work Party on the Cape Horn Trail, June 1, 2023
Cape Horn Conservancy will be collaborating with the Washington Trails Association (WTA) to get the Cape Horn Trail into shape for the upcoming summer hiking season.
The work party is planned for Thursday, June 1 from 8:30 am to 3:30 pm, and will focus on cutting vegetation back, using both power and hand tools. There may be other potential maintenance needs as well, including improving drainage with a variety of handheld digging tools.
This event is sponsored by the WTA, and CHC volunteers are encouraged to sign up through the WTA website (see link below). Don't be concerned if you end up on a wait list; the WTA is going to add any CHC volunteers onto the work party.
