NEW- Volunteers Needed for Trail Work Parties!
Friends, with the ever increasing number of recreationalists, paired with the decreasing numbers of Forest Service staff and federal funding for many trail work organizations, your Cape Horn Trail needs your volunteer muscle now more than ever!
Please join us in getting out the gloves and tools and meeting up with fellow volunteers to restore and maintain our diverse Cape Horn Trail! We will host several half-day work parties, running from 10:00am to 2:00 pm, with a break for lunch.
UPCOMING TRAIL WORK STEWARDSHIP EVENTS for 2025:
Thursday, May 8
When: 10:00am to 2:00pm (Please arrive by 9:45am)
What: We'll be cleaning and brushing the steps going down to the Oak View Overlook. If time allows, we'll do cleaning maintenance on the Proctor Bridge.
Where: Meet at SR14 truck pullout at milepost 24.6.
Please bring: Proper clothing for the weather (long pants and sleeves), boots, gloves, hardhat (if you have one, we can also provide them upon request), water bottle, lunch, and sense of adventure. Work party tools will be provided.
