Sign up below for the 8th annual Rake-a-thon on Sunday, November 17th, from 9:30 am to noon, rain or shine!
Removing leaves from the trail reduces trail maintenance and repairs since the trail will drain better without all of the soggy leaves! Volunteers should BYOR – (bring your own rakes), garden gloves and hard hats (the Conservancy can also provide hardhats). We've noted that metal garden rakes work better to remove the leaves. We will meet at the Road Closed Gate at the end of Strunk Road at 9 am.
Following this fun event will be a chili feed starting at 12:30 pm at the American Legion on Washougal River Road. Join us for drinks, chili, cookies and other goodies – it's our way of thanking you for helping to keep the Cape Horn Trail one of the best maintained trails in the gorge and for all of your support. Driving directions will be provided to Strunk Road and the American Legion closer to the date.
If you are driving with others and want to rake leaves with that group, please indicate that on the “Notes” section of the sign-up form.
